For 8 years, my daughter Sarah sent me $10,000 every month. I never asked where it came from. She said she got a good job in the city.

I used the money to fix my house, buy medicine, and live comfortably. I was so proud of her.

Last month, the money didn’t come. I called her, no answer. I got worried and took a bus to the city to find her.

I found her address. It was not a fancy office. It was a small, dirty apartment. I knocked. A neighbor said Sarah hasn’t been home for days.

I went to the hospital nearby. And there I found her. She was in a hospital bed, looking so weak. She was selling her blood and working 3 jobs to send me that money. She never had a good job. She was sacrificing her own life for me.

I hugged her and cried. I told her I don’t need money, I need my daughter.
